It is a black flexible, self-adhesive asbestos reinforced, stabilised bitumen sealing strip faced with polished aluminum. It offers a rapid and economical solution to an exceptionally wide variety of sealing and water-proofing applications in maintenance work.

• Rapid Seal is primarily formulated to provide excellent waterproofing properties.
• It possesses excellent resistance to industrial atmospheres and water-borne salts.
• The aluminum foil facing reflects UV light rays and provides excellent protection against all ageing influences.
• Rapid Seal does not slump on vertical or overhead surfaces at temperatures up to 100°C and shrinkage is negligible.

A cavity filler at door and window openings and flash on roofs. Seals and repairs around roof lights, extractor vents, rain water outlets, cladding panels, parapet flashings, coping and corrugated sheet roofs.

• Surface must be clean and dry prior to application. Dirt, dust, loose and friable material must be removed.
• Brickwork, rendering, timber, prepared metals, etc., should be treated with Epoxy primer.
• Porous surfaces may require two coats when dry, a dense, black surface indicates that sufficient has been applied.
• Rapid Seal's bitumen backing can be removed from surfaces by cutting away as much as possible and then cleaning off with white spirit or paraffin.
• Hands can be cleaned immediately after use with soap and water.
